Victoria Ledig (b. 1985) is a Berlin-based contemporary painter working in large-scale abstract figuration. Her practice focuses on the female body as a structural and emotional form, informed by the universal female experience and art-historical representations. Engaging with archetypal motifs such as the classical female nude and the Madonna, Ledig reinterprets these forms through a contemporary painterly language. Figures are fragmented and layered, allowing emotion and physical presence to be articulated through the body rather than narrative depiction.
Ledig studied design at the Design Academy Eindhoven (NL) and worked in fashion for over a decade, a background that informs her approach to composition and surface. She was represented by Avant Gallery (USA) from 2024 to 2025 and has been represented by De Galerie Den Haag (NL) since January 2026.
