ART ON PAPER 2026

We are pleased to announce that we will be participating in Art On Paper 2026!

With great pleasure, we will present the work of Jamel Armand, Marlien Venema, Erwin Verkade, and Femke Reijerman during Art On Paper at the iconic Kromhouthal in Amsterdam. This leading art fair, entirely dedicated to contemporary art on paper, offers an inspiring platform where experimentation, craftsmanship, and imagination take center stage.

A special highlight within our presentation is the new work by Erwin Verkade. Following a recent artist-in-residence period in Tokyo, Japan, his latest works on paper are inspired by Japanese culture. This time abroad forms the basis of a fresh and compelling series that will be shown for the first time during the fair.

In addition, we will present the work of Femke Reijerman, who does not depict factual reality but rather a reality she constructs and experiences herself. By combining seemingly random elements or consciously omitting them, she creates new, often abstract worlds full of color and tactility. Her works are entirely handmade, and her sculptural approach of carving, planing, composing, and restructuring leads to the final form that fully embodies her vision.

Together with the powerful visual language of Jamel Armand, who brings a profound tribute to the spiritual richness and timeless beauty of bygone tribal communities, this presentation gains an additional depth. Inspired by his Indonesian roots, Jamel captures the essence and pride of these communities, celebrating their resilient heritage in a timeless dance of culture and wisdom.

Finally, we will show the work of Marlien Venema, whose paintings and drawings explore the relationship between humans and landscape. Nourished by childhood memories and enriched with collage elements and rich textures, her works tell poetic stories about freedom, longing, and the courageous search for a (new) home. Her use of color and texture gives her work a dreamy and often utopian quality, capturing the tension between desire and a sense of loss.

With these versatile and layered works, our presentation forms an energetic contribution to Art On Paper 2026. We warmly invite you to discover these special artworks and engage in conversation with us during the fair.
