Rent Art and Save to buy

De Galerie Den Haag is specialized in modern and contemporary art; we are proud to say that we think we have the best and most varied art collection in Den Haag and surrounding. You can choose from more than 5000 art works from paintings, photography, graphite and sculptures to art books.

In short

  • Choose your favourite artworks online or come and have a look around in our gallery.
  • You can rent for a low amount per month
    (Only 1,75% of the worth of the artwork)
  • You can swap art work every four months. Of course you can always enjoy a work for a longer period of time.
  • Our art can be delivered for free and if you like can be hung for you.

What does it all this cost

We would like to make it as easy and affordable for you. Therefore you will have the choice of three types of renting. Like this, there is always something that suits your needs:

A. Rent:

You pay 1,75% of the worth of the artwork per month

B. Rent/Save:

You pay 3% of the worth of the artwork per month, of which 2% go into your savings with us en 1% goes towards renting the art piece.

C. Rent/Save:

You pay 2% of the worth of the artwork per month, of which 1% goes into your savings with us and 1% goes towards renting the art piece.

An example:

You see an artwork from Merette Uiterwaal with a purchase value of €2000,-.
The monthly cost per rental option would then be:

  1. You pay €35,- a month
  2. You pay €60,- a month, from which €40,- will go into your savings with us.
  3. You pay €40,- a month, from which €20,- will go into your savings with us.

For all types of renting the following applies: If the artwork you are renting is to your liking, you will always be able to purchase the work immediately. An artwork you are renting also cannot be sold to another customer.

Your savings

Would you like to purchase the work, but you first want to try out the work to see if you like it? Then our rent/save option is the ideal option for you. Your accumulated savings can be used to purchase the rented art piece or any other piece of art in our collection.
