Theodora Plas studied `painting and drawing at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in the Hague ( 1975-1980). She exhibited frequently in the Netherlands and overseas France, Belgium, Germany, Switzerland, Usa, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Bahrain and joined several international art fairs such as Art Basel, Chicago art fair, Art Miami. Her work reads like a diary enhanced by the strong use of colour.

Not only the use of color, but also the often very personal texts that she “literally” writes in / on her canvases characterize her work. Diary fragments, passages from literature, old writings, poetry and music form the starting point for many of her paintings.
