The work of Carrera Blecua is charged with positive energy, necessarily coming from someone who, tenacious and complex, alludes to a tragic existential feeling. The schematized figuration appearing from the background, seems to be searching for a space. On its way the figure arises abruptly and energetic. Making use of a personal graphic handwriting with a spontaneous line. Alberto Carrera Blecua, it seems to me, belongs to the race of the great artists that build up the material to give their paintings an existential background. He is one of those artists whose work oscillates the limits of the human feelings, the artist balances between the desire to avoid and at the same time has the need to confirm the human condition.
