A trip around the world in his artworks
Asia, South American, Europe; Heidweiller makes the line between life and art fade. By showing both Western and Oriental icons, in an urban setting, the spectator gets the feeling he’s on a world trip.
Technique
The composing technique that the artist is using, fits with the contemporary idea that old and new elements can be combined. The materials he uses are very different. Often screen-prints, which he produced himself, appear directly on the canvas. The different elements fuse fluently together. The image is often reinforced with collages, consisting of mixed media such as paper, cardboard, canvas or wood.
Heidweiller exhibits both in the Netherlands and abroad. His work is part of private, public and corporate collections.
