He painted with a thick layer of thick pasty homemade paint. Further he created multiple large installations consisting of flowers and flower bulbs. One of these could be found on the Hofvijver in The Hague through a collaboratio with The Gallery The Hague.
He obtained an international reputation among other things through a type of wax crayon designed by him. This type of wax crayon was also used by artists such as Willem de Kooning and Karel Appel.
