The artist Michiel Molenaar is born in The Hague, but grew up in Breda. After finishing high school he returned to The Hague where he went to the Royal Academic of Fine Art. Actually he was too young to enter the school, but after showing his drawings, he was accepted as an exception.
Fantasy worlds
Molenaar paints on large linen canvases! By using his imagination he roughly paints colourful animals. Yet the complex techniques reveal the craftsman within Molenaar. Art is an eternal challenge to Molenaar!
