Lotte Lisa Ekkel (born 1988), a self-taught photographer, lives and works in Amsterdam. Without a predetermined plan, she captures poetic and intuitive images with natural light. She seeks silence and beauty in small, often unnoticed moments. The sense of constant change is always present in Lotte's view of the world and forms the basis of her work. Like life itself, our view of the world changes effortlessly. Just as images change with shifting light or perspective, our experience of life shifts with changes in our perspective. "I believe our thoughts and truths are much more dynamic at any given time than we realize. Embracing this idea allows us to appreciate the relativity and beauty of each moment, to recognize their significance without burdening ourselves with too much seriousness, because everything changes anyway."
