Inspired by the Dutch landscape, Paméla explores the interplay between nature and abstraction, capturing intricate details through her camera. She questions the meaning of these moments by manipulating images to create order in life's chaos. Her artistic process involves translating reality into geometric or expressionistic proportions, using colors and detailed textures. Yarn is incorporated to add a third dimension and direct the viewer's eye. The repetition of shapes in her compositions imparts a meditative quality, emphasizing the importance of 'attention' in a distracting world.
“Reliefs”
Crafted using yarn, acrylic paint, and paper/photos, these reliefs capture the serene landscapes of Holland. The initially flat surfaces transform into multi-dimensional reliefs, marked by a nuanced interplay of colors and intricate textures. This subtle use of color and detailed texture defines the essence of the artwork, translating reality into a distinctive character. For instance, the 'Reflections' and 'Moving' series draw inspiration from the dynamic interaction between water and air, resulting in an endless array of color shades. The 'Moving Colors' series, in particular, finds its inspiration in the patterns created by stands of plane trees.
