Over kunstenaar Alex'n

After obtaining her fashion diploma Alex'n decided to take a new path as she wanted to tell stories rather than just creating "relief". Her artworks relate things, that are inspired from the daily life. A couple and her no man's land moment, the news on TV, a grey character that sees life in grey too and keeps hopes for tomorrow, etc.). Alex's great talent is to tell those stories with a lot of humour and poetry. Her artworks relate things, that are inspired from the daily life. Alex's great talent is to tell those stories with a lot of humour and poetry. Alex likes to mix different techniques on canvas: oil pastel, acryl paint and inkt with collages. Alex works in layers, her colours are never pure but created by layering several colours.

At the end of her creation process she often adds extra materials (iron, paper) to give even more volume to her painting. The collages (of words but also of locks) add an extra meaning to Alex's paintings, at other times she uses them as an extra focal point (like on a piece of clothe - the remains of her studies as a stylist) and some other time she uses them as tags or graffitis on a city wall.

Alex has been exposing in France but also in Spain (Barcelona).
