Portraits of Nature

On Saturday, May 17th, De Galerie Den Haag will open Portraits of Nature an exhibition featuring three artists – Puck Soetens, AnoukArt, and Paméla Maria – each highlighting nature in their own unique way.

Puck Soetens presents photographic portraits in which nature comes to life in a poetic manner. Her work captures a still, painterly atmosphere, evoking feelings of recognition and reflection.

Anouk van Tetering focuses on a single object from nature, such as a shell, a leaf, or a feather. By photographing this object with great precision and attention to detail, she transforms it into a sculptural image under her lens.

Paméla Maria showcases abstract artworks with a strong tactile quality. Each piece contains subtle references to natural landscapes or memories of them – sometimes through color, sometimes through form.

This exhibition invites you to pause and reflect on what we often overlook, encouraging a renewed appreciation of the beauty in everyday life, even in its most simple forms.

All three artists will be present during the afternoon to discuss their work, accompanied by snacks and drinks!
